Priyo Nari, Dr. Mandira Barua

Priyo Nari, Dr. Mandira Barua, the social activist and an elegant persona from Beltola area of Guwahti city, Assam, had been wholeheartedly devoting herself to serve the unprivileged community of the society since 2004. Her dedication and honesty in the working sector benefits the poor and needy people of the society to a great extent. Her nature of work encouraged a number of women interested in social activities to come forward and eventually they voluntarily joined her. Consequently "Shatshore Social and Cultural Development Organisation", a NGO was born, with Dr. Mandira Barua as the President.

Dr. Mandira Baruah started Shatshore with an ambition that she could engage the women of the society to build a progressive society. For solving the burning problem of unemployment, she laid the foundation of a nursing school with the initials of her name 'Mandira Solutions'. She also started a travelling as well as a driving school named 'Pyramid Travel Agency' and a sewing school name 'Usha Sewing School' at Jayanagar, Guwahati

Within a short span of time, she was able to converge love and encouragement from the people and the society and was given the title "Priyo Nari". She was honoured with the 'Xomaj Surjay' award by the Ranghar Club's Bishnu-Jyoti Samannay, 2019, 'Xomaj Ratna' by the Sadhana Sahitya Samaj's Gitanjali Award 2019 and Aaseranga Radali 2019 'Santi Bota'. She was also awarded by "National Samman Padak, 2019" by JAGJIVAN RAM KALA SANSKRITI & SAHITYA AKADEMI SANSTHA, Delhi.

Mr. Bhabananda Baruah

Mr. Bhabananda Baruah is the newly appointed secretary of Shatshore. An MCA topper from Dibrugarh University, Assam, he has been in the IT field for the past 12 years. By profession Mr. Bhabananda Baruah is a software engineer and is a successful entrepreneur. Apart from IT professional and entrepreneur he was very keen to serve the society and love to be social. So somehow he came in contact with Dr. Mandira Barua and told about his desire for serving the society. Dr. Mandira Barua, seeing the strong desire, will power, knowledge and track record of Mr. Bhabananda Baruah, appointed him as the secretary of Shatshore with the consent of all the members and a few dignitaries.

Mr. Partha Protim Dutta

Mr. Partha Protim Dutta is the newly appointed treasurer of Shatshore. An Engineering graduate from Jorhat Engineering College, he is an industrialist and have several SSI(Small Scale Industries) setup in Guwahati. Apart from being an industrialist, Mr. Partha Protim Dutta is a very kind-hearted person who loves to help the poor and needy. He also has a strong desire to uplift the livelihood of needy people of the society. Seeing this nature Dr. Mandira Barua appointed Mr. Partha Protim Dutta as treasurer of Shatshore with the consent of all the volunteers and members so that he can help the organization to run smoothly and also fulfill his desire of building the society.
